Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms And Lacquer Balms

Revlon sure knows a way to a girls heart, first with the new Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel collection and now the latest, their new Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms and Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms, which have a unique twist on the traditional chubby stick, so whether you love a matte balm or glossy finish, you’re sure to find a favourite. There are 20 shades to choose from in the collection, half are lacquer meaning a glossy shine and half have a matte finish. I’m happy to report that there’s a balm for everyone and for every occasion and retails for only $9.99.

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm comes in the identical packaging as the Kissable Balm Stains but combine velvety colour with a balm like moisture in a twist up design that requires no sharpening. It’s infused with Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Mango and Coconut Butter to boost lip hydration all while providing a bold punch of colour. It has a creamy, rich, very soft texture with intense pigmentation with an opaque finish in one easy swipe. It glides onto the lips with ease, it’s very comfortable to wear and lasts a solid 5 hours. It gives a pure matte finish without any shimmer, sheen or sparkle. It has a yummy, minty flavor and scent to it.

I’m usually not a fan of matte lipsticks, I usually find them super drying and I just prefer the look of a glossy finish, but these just changed my mind. The creamy formula of these matte balms doesn’t accentuate dry lips, nor does it make them feel dry, it remains comfortable on the lips without any unevenness or patchiness.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm comes in the same great packaging with the twist up design that requires no sharpening. It too is infused with Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Mango and Coconut Butter to boost lip hydration all while providing a bold punch of colour. It has a creamy, lighter, buttery smooth texture with higher pigmentation than the matte and still gives full opaque colour in one easy swipe. It glides on to the lips with ease, is super hydrating compared to the matte, and doesn’t leave your lips feeling greasy or sticky. It lasts about 4 hours on the lips, gives an ultra-shiny finish and has the same yummy minty flavor.

I’m so in love with both the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm and Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm, something about them makes me feel like a little kid again. I love that I don’t need a mirror to apply and it gives a bold punch of colour, is easy to use thanks to its twist up design and gives a touch of moisture to the lips. I’m obsessed with the scent, like spearmint gum, which makes me want to re-apply them over and over again.
