Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel

I remember being back in elementary school and being obsessed with Mrs. Sketch Markers, when other kids were working, I was smelling my markers. Revlon introduces a unique nail enamel that combines vibrant shiny shades with light, enticing fragrance, having you experience a whole new way of looking at your nail polish.

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel comes in 16 limited edition shades with 7 more limited edition shades coming out in 2014. The collection is broken down into 3 scent categories: Fruits & Florals, Freshes and Sweets & Spices and the shades that are out right now are, African Tea Rose, Autumn Spice, Balsam Fir, Beachy, Bordeaux, China Flower, Espresso, Fresh Linen, Ginger Melon, Italian Leather, Moonlit Woods, Powder Puff, Spun Sugar, Surf Spray, Wild Violets and Wintermint.

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel comes in a chic square, glass bottle with ball-shaped cap and remind me a lot of mini French inspired perfume bottles. Surprisingly the knob at the top of the brush is easy to grasp and makes it a little easier when applying the polish. The formula is thin and a little runny, but perfectly opaque and easy to work with. It glides on smoothly, covers the entire nail with one or two coats and delivers a high shine finish with a streak-free application. Its quick drying, lasts on the nail without chipping for a solid 5 days and leaves behind a light fragrance.

When I first opened the bottle I was a little confused, I didn’t smell any perfume scent, only the typical nail polish smell, but as soon as I applied the polish to the nails and it dried, that’s when the scent was revealed. I found the light fragrances lasted about 1 to 2 days on my nails, but not strong enough to overpower your normal perfume, you really can only smell it when you place your hands close to your face.

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in African Tea Rose is a bright cool-toned pink with subtle pink and blue shimmer throughout it. It’s highly pigmented, only 1 coat needed and dries to a creamy, glossy finish. It has a strong tea rose scent that you’re going to either love or hate, I personally normally don’t like tea rose, but I find this very refreshing.

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in Bordeaux is a reddish plum with a cream finish. It’s pigmented after 2 coats and has a sweet, fruity, grape jelly scent to it.

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in China Flower is a bright coral red and maybe my favourite from the collection, perfect anytime of the year. It’s highly pigmented with only 1 coat and has a rich, sweet plum scent to it with hints of floral.

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in Italian Leather is a khaki olive shade with traces of pale copper/ gold shimmer throughout it. It’s pigmented enough with only 2 coats and dries to a glossy finish. It doesn’t have a strong leather scent to me, more of a man’s cologne mixed with a bit of chocolate.

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in Wild Violets is a dark cool tone purple with tiny fuchsia and navy blue micro glitter throughout it. It’s pigmented enough with only 2 coats and dries to a glossy finish. It has a strong warm, yet sweet floral scent to it.

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in Wintermint is a metallic seafoam green with shimmer and blue glitter throughout it. It’s pigmented with only 2 coats and the blue glitters applies easily and evenly to the nails with a sandy texture finish. It has a yummy minty scent to it.

Overall I’m in love with these Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamels. I love the unique bottles and the fact that they are square, makes it easier to stack together and takes up less space when storing them. Revlon did an excellent job at matching the colours and names to the scent of each polish and I’m excited to test out some more. They applied like a dream, lasted several days on my nails without chipping and I loved all 5 scents I tested. They retail for $6.95.
