Smashbox Fade to Black Fall 2013 Collection features the new Fade To Black Photo Op Eye Shadow Palette in Fade In (gold pearl to safari green) and Fade Out (soft peach to deep plums) and retail for $52, Fade To Black Waterproof Shadow Liner in Blackest Black and Black Gold and retail for $25 and my favourite out of the collection, Fade To Black Be Legendary Lipstick in Cognac (warm nude) and Black Cherry (sheer berry) which retails for $22. This versatile collection starts with the most-wanted neutrals and fades to the fiercest blacks. From uptown to underground, black is back and cooler than ever with this limited-edition pitch-perfect neutrals.
Smashbox Fade To Black Be Legendary Lipstick comes housed in a beautiful purple to black ombre effect, square, metal, yet lightweight tube. It contains shea butter for moisturization and Vitamins C and E to help protect the lips. The formula is very creamy, lightweight and comfortable to wear. It leaves the lips feeling soft, moisturized and hydrated, never sticky or dry. It has a very light, almost sweet vanilla cupcake scent to it that once applied to the lips slowly disappears. It last for 3 to 4 hours on the lips, but fades out evenly, almost to a stain.
Smashbox Fade To Black Be Legendary Lipstick in Black Cherry may be a little intimidating to some as it looks very dark and vampy in the tube, but thanks to its sheer formula, it’s quite wearable and can be easily applied straight from the tube. It can be applied as a sheer wash of colour or you can build it up to a bold, rich, dramatic, deep berry shade with just the perfect amount of shine. It applies very creamy and smooth, is comfortable for hours and doesn’t dry the lips out. I love how opaque I can make it look for days when I want to be more daring, but it is also perfect for every day, by just swiping it once across my lips. I’m in love with the packaging, it has almost a magnetic closure when I put the lid on, I know it’s secure and won’t pop open in my purse. It retails for $22 and is available at Sephora.
