We’ve arrived, after almost 4 ½ on a plane, 20 minute layover in Winnipeg, we finally landed in Edmonton around 4:30 local time. It’s funny how only a 2 hour time difference can mess with your body, we wanted to go to bed around 9:30 (which was really 11:30), but did want to be up at 4:30AM the next morning. That would make for a super long day. We fought our tiredness and managed to stay up till almost midnight. I really didn’t realized just how big Edmonton was, until I got here. For some reason I was thinking it was the size of my city, but it’s about 3 times that. It took us almost 30 minutes to get from the Airport to our hotel on a highway, London you can get from end to end in about 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
Packing, packing was a challenge. Most travel vacations for us are somewhere sunny and warm and only 7 to 10 days, which means dresses, skirts and tees. I decided to not go overboard, pack somewhat light, so I came up with 19 pieces, each worn 3 times, to create 21 different outfits. I figure with West Edmonton Mall, I’ll be buying at least a few pieces that I can add to these looks. I think I did pretty good and my suitcase came in way under the 50lb limit, yahoo!
