I’m not one for gambling, “I like my money where I can see it, hanging in my closet”, but the hubby enjoys it; not really hard-core gambling, just poker with friends. The both times we were in Vegas I lost, and by lost I mean $20 each trip. Frist trip I played Roulette with my girlfriend, while the boys were playing poker, and although I was able to stretch my $20 to last over 2 hours, in the end I lost it. I felt okay about it cause my girlfriend ended up winning $20 at the table, so I figured I just gave her mine.
The second time we were in Vegas I put $20 into the slots and lost it within 3 minutes, what a joke, how can anyone enjoy that? I know $20 isn’t a lot of money by any means, and especially in Vegas, I just hate wasting money on gambling. The hubby says it’s the “entertainment value”, but I see no joy in it, so to me it’s just throwing away my money.
Anyways, our friends were hosting a poker tournament, so you knew the hubby had to go, they do this a few times a month I would say, so I went along for the ride. The boys had a wonderful evening of “boy talking” which pretty much just includes girls and sports, enjoyed some beers and a great game of poker, while my girlfriend and I had some quality one on one time.
