I love it when beautiful, talented, successful women work together, so when I was invited to attend a Holiday Preview put on by two of my favourite PR firms, Bounce Publicity and Lucid Communications, at the stunning Thompson Hotel in Toronto, I was more than excited. It was their annual Holiday preview featuring some of their top fashion and beauty clients like Elle Hardware, Ellie Mae, Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics, Riant Boutique, Dear Frankie, Pretty in the City and Rowenta.
My first stop was to learn all about Pretty in the City which is a Toronto Lash and Beauty Bar that’s been operating since 2005 giving you perfect manicures, pedicures, waxing, tinting, brow shaping and professional make-up applications. I was also introduced to Padina, an all-natural way to nourish and grow your lashes without harmful side effects, with its unique blend of 23 herb and mineral extracts, this formula works in 5 ways to enhance your natural eyelash growth. I wouldn’t mind giving this a try.
Next up was Ellie Mae, a fashion and accessory company that specializes in precious and semi-precious, high quality stones and metals to create stunning, must have pieces.
Riant Boutique was next, a beautiful Toronto boutique that carries all your favourite brands like 7 for All Mankind, Dolce Vita, House of Harlow, JBrand, to name a few.
Cheeky Monkey Cosmetics is not your conventional cosmetic brand, nor are the women who wear it. They are edgy and fun, high quality polishes with the “cheekiest” names ever, like “Booty Call”, “Virginal Pink”, “One Night Stand”, Born a Virgin”, to name a few.
We all know and love Rowenta and after seeing the new iron and steamer, I’m not sure I’ll be able to go back using mine anymore, time for a new steamer I think?
Elle Hardware was a company I was not familiar with until this event, but let me tell you, if you’re looking for a statement piece of jewelry this season, Elle Hardware would be worth checking out. It has a flagship retail location in Toronto’s trendy art and design shopping district, West Queen West and is home to over 30 brands and designer collections, a little something for everyone. I so want this skull ring, isn’t it fabulous?
Dear Frankie is designed and made in Canada and carries anything from underwear basics to daywear with focuses on comfort, wearability and femininity for the woman who values fashion as much as ease. Although only bikinis were showcased at the event, and this girl is way too old to rock a two piece, I did check them out online when I got home and they have some really cute one pieces, perfect for this time of year.
If you’re looking to start your Holiday shopping early this year, I would definitely check out these 7, unique companies, a little something for everyone on your list.
