I’ve been a spoiled girl this year and I have all my amazing supporters of this blog to thank. I had the opportunity to attend GlossyBox’s Holiday Party held at the fabulous Marc Anthony Salon in Yorkville Toronto two weeks ago. I went with the beautiful Alicia from Funny Face Beauty (another Londoner) and we had a wonderful time. We got the question… “you came all the way from London” asked a lot, but to tell you the truth the time just flew by in the car. 2 crazy girls on the road chatting about hair, makeup, blogging and all things girly, what more could you ask for on a Tuesday evening?
The event was set up perfectly into little beauty stations with different (and mostly Canadian) companies promoting their businesses. Marc Anthony’s girls had 3 different hair stations where you could get your hair in an up-do (ie a bun), your hair braided and even the new trend of hair knitting. There was a makeup station put on by Marcelle, you could get your nails done by OPI, get your pictures taken not only in your very own private photo booth but also in a life-size GlossyBox. No holiday party would be complete without a full line of yummy candy at a candy bar.
Everyone also had the opportunity to learn more about some of GlossyBox’s favourite brands including GlamGlow, Biore, Curel, Jergens, Elin Bianco, Jouviance, Macadamia Natural Oil, Maskeraide, Marcelle, Annabelle, Elizabeth Grant, Skin For Life, Beauty So Clean, Montagne Jeunesse, Vitabath and Nicole by OPI.
This would be mine and Alicia’s hands testing out Glamglow, a company known for their amazing mud masks which contain volcanic rock, French sea clay and green tea leaves.
Gosh darn, how cute does Alicia’s fishtail braid look… I know wish I had longer hair again!
My girl did manage to make 2 lil braids for my short short hair, although I thought she did an amazing job… I looked like I was 6 years old- hehe
A few more laps around the salon and Alicia soon turned her fishtail braid into a super chic high bun! And I must say…. I take the best pictures, ever! Love this one of Alicia!
Annabelle cosmetics served on a pink platter…. yes please!
Last stop of the night, getting our hair knitted!
