spook-tacular Halloween
Oh my gosh, has it really been almost a year since I’ve blogged about LUSH? Where does the time go? The last collection I talked about was their Holiday 2014 Collection. I’m not going to lie, the Christmas collections are always my favourites. This season LUSH wants you to have a spook-tacular Halloween with new and old creations to offer a truly mystical bathing experience. Instantly banish your troubles and leave your skin feeling magically soft and smelling boo-tiful with my top 3 products.
LUSH Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar is perfect for those that aren’t afraid to get a little sparkly and shiny. No really, this will leave your skin looking incredibly shimmery in gold sparkles. It has an uplifting blend of juniperberry, grapefruit and lime that’s extremely uplifting and refreshing. By crumbling the bubble bar into hot running bath water, it not only turns your water into a shimmery, golden escape, it actually leaves gold glitter all over your body. Although this may not be ideal for everyday use, I can see it being fun on Halloween. It retails for $7.95.
LUSH Nightwing Shower Jelly has wiggle like texture and shaped like a bat and is just way too much fun. It has a sweet and fruity scent, a mixture between candy and cola. It features aloe vera and lime juice jelly formula that can be used straight out of the fridge or freezer for an instant refreshing and cooling sensation. It has a small amount of vitamin E to help provide extreme moisture and nourishment to the body. Not only can it be used in a shower pouf, it can also be rubbed directly onto the body for a rich and creamy lather. It retails for $6.95 for 100g.
LUSH Lord Of Misrule Shower Cream features an earthy and herbal blend of patchouli, peppercorn and black pepper to give it a slightly spicy scent, yet it is mixed beautifully with fare trade vanilla from Uganda to give it a softer, sweet scent. As you rub this bright cream all over your body, it does instantly foam to a nice rich and creamy lather, but it doesn’t wash off the body as clean as I would like it to. In fact, some parts of the body are left with a hint of green. It is enriched with vitamin E and other moisturizing ingredients, so although I did feel quite hydrated, I also felt quite greasy and with a green tint on my body. It retails for $21.95 for 250ml.
