The Nuances of Neutrals
The OPI Infinite Shine Summer 2016 Collection was inspired by the runway shades from Fendi, Elie Saab, Oscar de la Renta and Calvin Klein in lovey soft nudes that I couldn’t wait to feature on this fashion blog. Anything from pale pinks, beige and peach, these romantic hues are no longer saved for just ballerinas and chiffon frocks, it gives a somewhat edgy chicness to any outfit you pair with them and I can see all the up and coming Canadian clothing brands rocking these shades next season. The new limited edition Infinite Shine collection features 6 new, long-lasting, no light require shades, the same professional colours you’d find in a high-end spa or salon, but in an easy 3-step application process. “Think creamy, flawless foundation… for your nails.”
OPI Infinite Shine provides a rich colour, intense shine and long lasting wear time that you’d get with a good gel polish, but without the use of a UV lamp. You simply prep the nails to help grip the colour and prevent staining with the OPI Infinite Shine Primer, then add lacquer colour of your choice, and top with OPI Infinite Shine Gloss to help cure. Its ProWide brush covers the entire nail in 2 easy swipes and all shades are incredibly pigmented. The paler, more pastel shades, will require two coats to achieve opaque coverage, whereas you’re able to get away with one coat with the dark, richer shades. Its quick drying formula sets within 10 minutes and lasts for a solid 10+ days without chipping. It really does provide an entire week’s worth of high shine without becoming flat or dull. Each shade works beautifully together to help create this summer’s hottest hue, barely there look.
OPI Infinite Shine in Staying Neutral on This One is a whisper pink that’s so sweet it will make choosing a side nearly impossible. This pale off-white has a hint of pastel pink that does require 3 coats to see true colour payoff.
OPI Infinite Shine in Don’t Even Stop is a sun-drenched salmon that’s sure to keep you on your toes. This soft, almost peachy nude is an excellent alternative to a bold apricot.
OPI Infinite Shine in Can’t Stop Myself makes everything peachy when you give yourself the go ahead to rock this shade. It’s a lovely soft and pale orangey sorbet shade that reminds me a lot of a pastel creamsicle.
OPI Infinite Shine in No Stopping Zone will give your undertones a workout in dusky rose. This is a perfect summertime neutral nude that will look amazing on everyone.
OPI Infinite Shine in Hurry Up and Wait is a luminous tan with a slight pink undertone. No time like the present to wear this stunning nude.
OPI Infinite Shine in No Strings Attached is an elusive nude that refuses to let anyone pin her down. Another lovely nude with a slight lavender tint to it.
It’s available as of July 1st, 2016 at professional salons and spas across Canada for $14.95 each.
