The new OPI Venice Fall Winter 2015 Collection was inspired by this extraordinary city and presents a modern twist of the Baroque unique style. Anything from your romantic reds, decadent blues and striking corals, to dreamy pastels, elegant nudes, dramatic darks and luxurious metallic, this entire 15 piece collection is utter elegance and something you want to totally indulge in. Renew your passion for colour this season, as there’s a ton of bold, bright and colourful shades that you might not typically think of when you think of Fall shades, but this romantic line-up will absolutely melt your heart and having you dreaming of Venice.
As a blogger I’m lucky enough to get press samples sent to me, often before the items are even available in stores, and as excited as I get to test everything out, I get even more excited about the packaging. Not only did OPI send me their entire 15 piece collection, it was sent in the most adorable, and collectable box. It also came with a recipe card, to fit the theme of the collection, with info on how to make different drinks, desserts and dishes inspired by the shades found within. The press package also came with Ferrero Rocher and Tiramisu Caramels (which both were absolutely delish) and a masquerade mask. I love it when I get props to go along with my photos, it really helps me to capture the products and is a beautiful touch. Of course, this new OPI Venice Fall Winter 2015 Collection comes with OPI’s famous rich and creamy, true-to-bottle colour that you’re come to love and respect from the brand. Its unique brush is easy to use and deposits just the right amount of polish for a seamless and effortless application. It covers the entire nail in a few simple strokes and most shades are true opaque in 2 coats. A few of the lighter shades can be a bit streaky, but nothing that can’t be worked with.
OPI A Great Opera-tunity, OPI It’s a Piazza Cake, OPI Worth a Pretty Penne, OPI Tiramisu for Two, OPI Amore at the Grand Canal and OPI Gimme A Lido Kiss.
OPI A Great Opera-tunity is a pale, almost muted melon.
OPI It’s a Piazza Cake is a rich, burnt orange crème. Think delicious pumpkin pie. This would make the perfect Halloween colour.
OPI Worth a Pretty Penne is a rose gold with almost a silvery, shimmery coppery tone to it. A slightly fancier and more fashionable penny shade.
OPI Tiramisu for Two is a pinkish, almost nudy cream.
OPI Amore at the Grand Canal is a ravishing blue toned, classic red.
OPI Gimme A Lido Kiss is an extremely, saucy, bright red.
OPI Be There In A Prosecco, OPI I Cannoli Wear, OPI Gelato On My Mind, OPI Purple Palazzo Pants, OPI O Suzi Mio and OPI My Gondola or Yours?
OPI My Gondola or Yours?
OPI Be There In A Prosecco is a unique shade that changes depending on how the light catches your nail. It can change from a soft, creamy beige to a pinky ivory depending on the light.
OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI is a pale grey with a crème finish.
OPI Gelato On My Mind is a pale, icy-cool, minty pastel blue.
OPI Purple Palazzo Pants is a pale lilac.
OPI O Suzi Mio is a rich eggplant with almost a jelly finish.
OPI My Gondola or Yours? Is a rich, luscious black.
I love that in addition to these 12 beautiful shades, OPI also released 3 limited edition shades, and a few of my favourites out of the collection.
OPI Venice the Party? is an odd choice for fall and winter, but I’m totally digging it. This aquamarine shade will have you day dreaming of swimming in ocean blue waters.
OPI St. Mark’s the Spot is a little more fall appropriate and a stunning shade of royal blue with a pearl sheen.
OPI Baroque… but Still Shopping! is an unusual greenish, metallic gold with flecks of shimmer and glitter throughout. It can be a little difficult to work with though.
