Girl on the Go
Sephora Collection Mixed Metals Baked Eye and Face Palette comes in a book style packaging that’s made of fairly heavy and sturdy cardboard, with a full size mirror on the inside lid. You can actually stand the palette upright, which makes it handy when applying your makeup on the go. It contains 9 metal inspired eyeshadows, a blush duo and a highlighter to effortlessly create endless amounts of looks. It has a great variety of metallic, shimmers and a few satin mattes that allow you to achieve this season’s hottest metallic looks in one, easy to use palette.
Each eyeshadow is fairly pigmented with a subtle shimmery finish. These can be applied both wet and dry allowing you to create a sheer wash of colour or an intense, eye-catching look. I did find it weakens the colour payoff when applied damp though? The formula is a tad drier than traditional shadows, but each shade seems to blend beautifully together. It can also tend to crease if you don’t apply a primer beforehand. Like most baked shadows, they seem to fade a tad quicker than other shadows, but you can easily get 4 hours before it starts to slowly disappear.
Sephora Collection Mixed Metals Baked Eye and Face Palette is the perfect palette for the girl on the go. This portable palette features enough hues and finishes for both the face and eyes to provide you with endless amounts of popular chic looks. It also comes with a handy tutorial guide to help you achieve each look. It retails for $44, but comes with a $156 value.
