It seems like the Western Fair in London, ON is getting smaller and smaller and with less people each and every year? I can still remember skipping school with my girlfriends, to head downtown bright and early to be one of the first in line, walking around the Fairgrounds till 11PM and still feeling like we didn’t do it all. I also remember it being super busy, waiting in line for hours for each ride, constantly bumping into people, never being able to find a place to sit eat and now you’re luckly if you see a handful of people on each ride. I also notice the Fair doesn’t open till 3PM during the week, I guess too many kids missing school to attend?
Somehow the hubby and I get racked into go each year, this year marks our 11th year in a row and each year we asked ourselves, “why do we come, there’s nothing here”? I guess it’s more of a tradition now, and I really do enjoy seeing the farm animals. For the past 3 or 4 years now, we’ve talked about getting a teacup pot belly pig, but then we come to our senses and think, “do we really need another animal in our house?” I also do love kicking my husband butt at games, eating deep fried everything and of course people watching, which is probably why we continue to come back each year.
