Stacy London
Shut Up! I meet Stacy London. Dream really do come true. As a stylist for 10 seasons on the show What Not to Wear, of course I was a little nervous on what to wear to meet this style icon. Lucky for me, within 3 minutes of her welcoming speech, she pointed to me and said she totally loved my bright pink jacket and that I rocked a bold pink lip with it. She also said I had a chic haircut and that I looked like Snow White. Mind blown! To get such an amazing compliment from someone I idealized for so many years was a real self-confidence booster.
Did you know that fresh breath is nearly as important as the clothes we wear (89%) and even more important than out hair style (77%) in making Canadians feel more confident. 8 in 10 Canadians agree that having fresh breath can make them feel more confident when meeting or talking to new people, 9 in 10 Canadians believe having fresh breath would make them feel more confident in a job interview and over 90% believe having fresh breath would make them feel more confident in making a good first impression on a member of the opposite sex.
Stacy’s 5 tips to excelerate your confidence are simply owning your style from head-to-toe. Try to focus on the parts of your body you love and enhance those features. Put your fresh breath forward by simply carrying a pack of Excel gum in your purse at all times. Plan in advance, everything from your outift to your lunch to your gym bag. This will help maximize your time and start your day off feeling most confident. Don’t skip on the details, meaning complete each look with a lipstick, a fresh coat of nail polish or even accessorizing. All will help you look and feel your best. Finally, perfect your posture. Keep your shoulder back and your head held high, it will help you appear more confident.
