Since I do have incredibly short and thin hair, I often worry about heavy shampoos weighing my hair down, but this one leaves it feeling lightweight, manageable and completely weightless. Hair Recipes Egg Yolk Conditioner has the same thick, yellow consistency as the shampoo, but a little more slippery, if that makes sense, which allows you to effortlessly distribute throughout the hair with ease. Since the shampoo did such an amazing job at hydrating my hair, I don’t feel the need to use this conditioner daily, like I do with other brands. I’ve been using it about 2 to 3 times a week, when my hair is feeling extra dry and brittle. Only the smallest amount of product is required to instantly moisturize and hydrate the hair for days to come. The rich and creamy formula instantly penetrates deep down into your hair cuticles, providing a ton of nourishment. It too, like the shampoo, doesn’t seem to weigh my thin, short hair down, nor does it leave it looking or feeling greasy. It does provide a ton of shine and silkiness to the hair, adding life back into each strand after every use. As you continue to rinse out, you can immediately feel the results, it detangles all knots and makes it manageable, even before brushing. As my hair starts to air dry, I can instantly see the shine and with less frizz and fly-a-ways. I haven’t been reaching for my flat iron as often as I have in the past. The Hair Recipes Macadamia Oil might be my favourite product out of the bunch, not only did it help to nourish, moisturize and hydrate my hair, it helped to protect it while adding softness and shine. It has an incredibly lightweight, surprising never greasy formula that absorbs into the hair almost instantly for a completely weightless feel. It helps to provide instant nutrition, while enhancing shine and vibrancy. It adds both softness and shine, while keeping it smooth, sleek and frizz-free. I apply a small amount and work into the ends of my hair and then whatever is left over, I rub gently onto the top of my head to control fly-a-ways. I can actually feel it improving the overall health, strength and elasticity of my hair the more I use it. It also doesn’t hurt that it smells amazing. It retails for $18.95 for 60ml.
