Pink is the colour of summer, actually who am I kidding, it’s my fave colour all year round. From the messages and comments I receive daily on this fashion blog, it seems pink is a struggle for a lot of you to wear? I know we all tend to get obsessed with classic blacks, whites, and nudes, it’s what we feel most comfortable in, but sometimes it’s nice to add a pop of colour to our life.
Of course, the easiest way to wear pink is in accessories, but there’s something about a loud pink shoe that instantly compliments a basic outfit beautifully. This is a perfect option for those that don’t want to stand out, yet want to have fun with colour. A neutral colour palette will help keep you looking elegant and classy, yet a pink purse or piece of jewelry will allow your true personality to shine through.
In the 50’s and 60’s, it was a must to match your purse to your shoes, then we got away from that look for a while, but I’m happy to report, the matchy-matchy look is back. I love colour matching my shoes to my purse, it’s an effortless way to appear put-together without trying too hard. This allows you to work in the pink shoe trend without drawing too much attention to yourself.
If you’re really looking to make your pink shoes pop and be the centre of attention, then pair it with a monochromatic outfit. A simple all black or all white ensemble will allow your pink statement shoes to do the talking and steal the show.
