You may remember, a few weeks ago I had a private and intimate breakfast with Paris-based accessory and jewelry guru, Ms. Yaz Bukey to talk about her recent collab with Shu Uemura. Just when I thought the partnerships between designers and cosmetics brands couldn’t get any better, Shu Uemura released YazBukey for Shu Uemura Collection.

The concept behind this 32 piece collection is four unique and different girlfriends fall in love with the same man, Mr. Shu Shu. Each of the 4 gals have their own exceptional personality, Sexy Yaz, Smart Lola, Romantic Betty and Daring Tina, which are represented in the collection by 4 different colour categories. Of course, Yaz Bukey herself is the model in the images, showing us her 4 unique sides. This collection proves women don’t have to be pigeonholed into a certain category, we have many sides, depending on the day and our mood, both sexy, smart, romantic and a little daring. Channel whichever personality you feel like that day with this fabulous collection.

Yaz Bukey brought her pop-art designs to this YazBukey for Shu Uemura collection with 4 different colour categories, Sexy Yaz is done in pink, Smart Lola done in green, Romantic Betty done in yellow and Dazzling Tina in blue. It features the cult-fave, and my personal fave, the cleansing oil in 4 different formulas, 4 shades of lipsticks, an eyeshadow palette, 9 single eyeshadows, 4 nail polishes, 2 gel pencil eyeliners, 2 UV under base mousse, smooth-out instant pore blurring primer, 2 styles of fake eyelashes, a dual fit compact case and a custom case duo.

I absolutely fell in love with the Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil Skin Purifier over the holidays and have been using it ever since. Although it seems to come with a fairly expensive price tag, the bottle will literary last you forever. Like I said, I’ve been using it since December, daily, and it’s not even a quarter gone. The past few weeks, I’ve been testing out the YazBukey for Shu Uemura Dazzling Tina Blanc:Chroma Cleansing Oil that not only cleanses the skin of all dirt, oil and makeup, but helps to brighten and polish for whitening concerns. This lightweight cleansing oil polishes away accumulated dead skin cells on the skin’s surface that causes uneven and dull skin, for a brighter, transparent and smoother surface. It retails for $92.

YazBukey for Shu Uemura Dazzling Tina False Eyelashes are perfect for winking at your love, Mr. Shu Shu, or any other man that walks by. These head turning lashes feature glitter and light amethyst crystal rhinestones in both short and long black hair to create both drama and length. Although I haven’t gotten the chance to wear these yet, I think they will be super cute for date night or an evening of dancing with my ladies. It retails for $35.

YazBukey for Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte in Daring Violet is a hybrid matte lipstick that is perfect for blowing kisses to your loved one, or a fun-filled “make-out” session, as its long lasting, yet extremely comfortable formula, is pretty much kiss-proof. It’s highly pigmented, true opaque in a single swipe, with deep colour payoff that lasts all day. Dazzling Tina isn’t afraid of a little PDA, are you? It retails for $36.

YazBukey for Shu Uemura Pressed Eyeshadow Refills are the perfect single shadow for the girl with her own unique style, who wants to mix, match and customize her own palette. With 9 different shades, in both glitter, shimmer, matte and satin to pick from, the possibilities are endless. S soft blue 642 is a blue shimmering pearl with elegant accents that is a truly creative and brilliant shade. It retails for $19.

YazBukey for Shu Uemura Romantic Betty Custom Case Duo is the perfect case to hold my YazBukey for Shu Uemura Dazzling Tina Pressed Eyeshadow Refill and any other shadow I decide to pick up from the collection. It retails for $15.

YazBukey for Shu Uemura Romantic Betty POREraser UV Under Base Mousse is a 3-in-1 complex control pore eraser for a poreless makeup finish. This can be used a base under foundation or on its own to help even out complexion, while visibly reducing pores and shine. It also helps to improve the skin’s appearance and overall condition, while providing a natural cover which helps to conceal dark spots, blemishes and scars. Talk about a multi-purpose product. I’ve been applying it right before my foundation in the morning and not only does it create a smooth, flawless canvas, it actually helps to keep my dry, dull skin hydrated and moisturized throughout the day. It’s extremely lightweight texture never feels greasy, oily or heavy on my skin, nor does it clog pores, which can cause breakouts. It retails for $46.

Last, but not least, something from the Sexy Yaz lineup. The YazBukey for Shu Uemura Stage Performer Smooth-Out Instant Pore Blurring Primer that instantly minimizes the appearance of pores. It can be used for smoothing out concerned areas or used as an all-over face primer to help prolong the length of your foundation. It retails for $50.
