Strongbow Apple Ciders

 

If you’ve been following me on any form of social media, you would have seen that it was girl’s night out on Saturday. I felt 18 all over again, pre-drinking in my bathroom while I did my makeup. Being in my late teens and early twenties, I was all about having a few (okay a lot) of cocktails before heading to the bar, in hopes of saving some money. As I got older, it wasn’t so much about getting drunk, as just having a few social drinks when out with friends. Years ago, I didn’t really experiment with different types of liquor, just pass me the vodka and I was set, now I like to have a little fun and enjoy new drinks.

My latest obsession, Strongbow Apple Ciders. It’s the number one cider brand in the world and the leader of import cider in Canada and for good reasons. For someone who absolutely hates the taste of beer, this is a wonderful option. Strongbow Apple Cider British Dry is a beautiful blend of English cider apples that provide a crisp and refreshing taste. It’s extremely light, yet slightly bitter, and pairs wonderfully with apple cakes and apply crumble desserts. I also enjoyed two of their new flavours, Elderflower, which is a light blend of floral and fresh citrus with a crisp apple flavour. It gives the sweet finish of lychee and pear, which would be perfect for those that enjoy a good glass of white wine. It’s best paired with light desserts such a crème brulee, crepes and donuts. Finally, another new flavour, Gold, a blend of premium cider apples with a subtle sweet finish of delicious and honey apples. It’s incredibly crisp, refreshing and my personal favourite.
