Have you ever been kicked out of a restaurant after only 2 hours; this was a first for me while celebrating a friends Birthday Party in Toronto. It started off as a lovely evening at Dimmi Bar & Trattoria with fellow beauty bloggers and friends (9 in total), great food, excellent drinks and wonderful company but that all came to an end around 8PM.
The Birthday girl booked the reservations months in advance for 6PM, now you have to keep in mind we’re all traveling from different locations, some from London, and others from Scarborough, Brampton & Toronto, so arriving right at 6PM for everyone is going to be a challenge.
Anyways I would say everyone had arrived by 6:15, drinks in hand by 6:45, dinner in front of us by 7:15, dessert & coffee by 7:45, then we got asked to leave around 8PM, this is just crazy to me! We just finished our desserts, the bill came and within 5 minutes we were asked to leave, I don’t even think Derek and I could finish a romantic dinner & dessert in less than 2 hours, let alone a group of women that hardly ever get to see each other/ chance to chat.
I understand that on a Saturday night restaurants get busy, want to serve as many people to get the most money, but you would think when you have a party of 9 people, spending over $500+ a table you would give a little more than just 2 hours? The thought of asking your guest to leave is just unacceptable and a Birthday Party none the less.
