Finally a day together, just the hubby and I; it was his Birthday on Sunday and although we did have dinner together, we didn’t really get the chance to celebrate. I wasn’t sure what to do for him on his big day, I’ve done the surprise party (twice), we’ve done Toronto (twice), been out for dinner, movies, bar nights, etc and as we get older, I find it harder and harder to find special things to do for him.
This year we thought, let’s just spend some quality time together, just one on one with no set plans, no set destination, just get in the car and go. We ended up in Niagara Falls, always a soft spot for us, as this was the first place we traveled to, just 3 months into our relationship way back in 2003. We spent the day at the Falls, walked up and down Clifton Hill, had lunch and dinner, played some blackjacks at the casino and did a little shopping at the outlets.
On the way home we also checked out one of sixteen Hamilton’s Fall, we’ve already visited a few last summer, well not as amazing as Niagara Fall, still beautiful in their own ways.
