Back to Natural Sleep with Pascoflair

When it comes to a good night’s sleep, I truly believe quality over quantity truly matters. How I feel after a solid 6 hours’ worth of sleep, is completely different on how I feel after getting 8 hours of restless sleep. I know the importance of a solid night’s sleep, but achieving it, isn’t so easy. My day-to-day lifestyle choices have a huge influence on the quality of my rest, as does my sleep habits and nighttime routines. Following simple guidelines and schedules can help optimize my sleep, as can a simple over the counter, all natural pill.

For the past 2 months I’ve been taking Pascoflair, a safe and herbal alternative to traditional sleep aids, that’s completely harmless and non-addicting. Its magical ingredient, Passionflower, which has been used in herbal medicine for centuries, is completely non-invasive and safe to take daily (although not required or needed).

Since taking this challenge, I’ve tried to get back to a better night’s sleep, by breaking bad habits, sticking to a regular sleep schedule and best of all, taking my Pascoflair 30 minutes before I want to fall asleep. Yes, it works that quickly.

Since I work from home, I’m usually never on a sleep schedule, which is highly important and one of the main goals I wanted to focus on. I now go to bed when the hubby does, around 11Pm, and wake up with him at the exact same time, each and every morning. This has helped my internal clock, which means I don’t toss and turn as often, as well as optimizing the quality of my sleep. We spend a good 30 minutes together over breakfast, talking about our previous day, what our plans are for the current day and just enjoy each other’s company. This has been a huge deal for me, not only does it give me emotional balance, it gets me thinking about the day and what I want to accomplish.

Another challenge, and probably my most difficult, turning off all social media and late-night television watching at least 2 hours prior to going to bed (which in my case is 9PM). Your body naturally produces melatonin when it’s dark out, making you feel sleepier, so when you exposure yourself to bright lights at night, your body thinks it’s time to wake up. I’ve noticed a huge difference in the quality of sleep when I actually get off the computer at a decent time, do I do it every night, absolutely not, but I’m trying.

Of course, late night eating and caffeine is also going to keep you up, but did you know you’re eating habits during the day also play a role in your sleep patterns? I’m slowly starting to pay attention to what I consume on a daily basic and especially watching what I put into my body leading up to my bedtime. Trying to eat smaller meals, having dinner before 5PM and cutting out nightly snacks has helped me digest my food easier and actually helps me to sleep more soundly.

I still take a relaxing bath to help me unwind and get ready for bed, I surround myself with soft, warm, comfy duvets, have switched out our bedroom lights for soft lighting and I practice deep breathing right before my head hits the pillow. I, of course, take my Pascoflair on nights when I feel stressed, worried or upset, as it helps me manage my thoughts so I’m able to wind down and clear my head for a restful night’s sleep. Now that I get a solid 8 hours of sleep, I have reduced my risk of having a heart attack, stroke or chest pains, am not as cranky throughout the day, have way more energy, without crashing mid-day or relying on caffeine to get be through the day, am more alert and attentive, but most of all, I’m more productive with my business.
