Sometimes I forget how beautiful Canada really is or how lovely my hometown of London, Ontario is. Derek and I took an evening stroll along the Thames River in downtown London, and stumbled upon the Blackfriars Bridge. IT was built in 1875, and since I have a thing for bridges, you know I had to stop and snap a few pics for this fashion blog. It’s a wrought iron bowstring arch through truss bridge, crossing the North river, and although it’s usually safe enough for cars, due to structural deterioration it’s available for pedestrians and bikers at the moment. It’s such a beautiful bridge with so much history to it. In fact, London has one of the highest historic sites in all of Canada. We have a total of 4 landmarks, Banting House, Middlesex County Court House, Ridout Street Complex and Wolseley Barracks, that are all recognized as Canada’s National Historic Sites. How cool is that?
