I know I’m like the last person to jump on the Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon bandwagon, and you’ve probably already read reviews on it, cause they’re that amazing. I still wanted to take the time to share my thoughts on these, or in case you haven’t already heard about these little lip treasures. The breakdown, these are full coverage, matte lip crayons that provide truly beautiful colour for kissable and irresistible lips. It has a unique blend of shea butter, kendi oil and jojoba oil to not only provide moisture and hydration, but helps to keep lips incredibly soft and smooth.
Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon has the same twist-up design that we’ve come to love from jumbo lip crayons, but with the cutest embossed honeycomb design lid. It has a rich and creamy consistency that glides onto the lips like butter. It has an extremely lightweight texture that’s comfortable to wear the entire day. Its precise tip allows for perfect application each and every time, without the hassle of having to sharpen them. It’s not overly pigmented and does require a few swipes of the crayon to achieve an opaque look. Although they apply smoothly and seem to adhere to the lips wonderfully, you will experience some transfer if you eat or drink. You can expect 2 to 3 hours’ worth of wear time before they slowly start to fade.
I don’t know why it took me so long to try these Burt’s Bees Lip Crayons, cause these are truly amazing. Not only are these creamy and fairly pigmented, they come with an almost matte finish. I say almost matte, cause it does have somewhat of a sheen finish to them. It’s translucent enough to allow for easy application without a mirror, but still gives you the colour you look for in a crayon. All 6 shades seem to be easy to wear and super flattering on all complexions. You can easily layer them over a gloss or balm to change the colour and finish. It also seems to wear for a good few hours without having to reapply. Although somewhat hydrating, don’t expect them to give you the moisturize you need if you have extremely dehydrated, parched or dry lips. You may still need a good lip balm underneath these and swipe these overtop for colour? These are much more of a matte lipstick than a lip treatment, if that makes sense? It comes in 6 new shades for $9.99 each.
Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands is a beautiful nude with a hint of pink for that extremely natural lip. It’s the perfect lippie when you want a neutral look on the lip. Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon in Hawaiian Smolder is a cool pink that also looks fairly neutral on the lips.
Where did you buy them? I’ve been looking for them for a while and haven’t found them. Thought I would have to make a trip to the States to pick them up.
you should be able to find them at Wal-Mart and Shoppers- although I know a lot of stores are sold out right now (I guess that’s a sign of a good product) hehe
