Chokers are making a huge come-back and I’m not going to lie, I’m loving it. Being a child of the 90’s, you could always spot me rocking the latest choker for a cool-girl, grungy look. This season we’ve seen a huge spike in both celebrities, fashion bloggers and “it-girls” rocking this trend again as it’s easy to wear and doesn’t interfere with the rest of your outfit. It’s almost like a built-in scarf that ties the entire look together and completes any outfit. It’s probably one of the easiest and “cheapest” trend to re-create. You can simply DIY by tying a ribbon or a piece of thin velvet around your neck and calling it a day. By adding this simple choker you, all of a sudden, look effortlessly chic. Of course, another option is heading to Tyes By Tara, who creates the most adorable, flirty, slightly sexy jewellery and accessories I’ve seen in awhile. Although this Teddy Beltye is intended to be worn as a belt to create a sexy statement around your waist, I removed part of the backing and wore it as a sophisticated, yet flirty and sexy choker. Tyes By Tara has an array of feminine, simplistic and flirty designs that help you create a street-style look in seconds and I have a few more pieces from this collection that I’ll be showcasing on this fashion blog soon.
