For someone who colours her hair monthly, washes it daily and then follows up with the straighter every morning, it is safe to say my hair goes through a lot. If I don’t take the proper steps to protect it, I will notice it starts to look dry, dull and damaged fairly quickly. It’s highly important for me to use some sort of heat-defense product to help protect my hair from future heat damage. It’s formulated with black cumin oil to help coat the hair in a nourishing and protective layer. It comes in a squeeze tube with an extremely thick and creamy, almost silky, velvety texture. It applies evenly and smoothly to towel-dry hair with only the smallest amount needed to fully coat each strand. Its lightweight formula ensures to protect the hair without weighting it down.
I’ve been using the L’Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Seve Protectrice for about 2 months now and I’m totally in love. It has the same fruity, yet slightly floral scent of the rest of the Mythic Oil collection that is refreshing, yet not too overpowering. I only use a pea size amount on towel-dried hair, before blow drying and straightening. It seems to help to cut down on blow drying time, which means less heat is needed on my hair. It leaves my hair incredibly silky and smooth, with little to no fly-a-ways, which again, means less flatiron time. Even though it’s extremely luxe, it never weighs my hair down or leaves it looking or feeling greasy or oily. I actually sometimes apply another small amount after styling to help control and fight frizz the entire day. It adds an incredible amount of lustre and shine to my otherwise dull strands.
