Balmain Military Jacket
Balmain is the King of military jackets. Not ready to make the Balmain military jacket investment, this Steve Madden still gives the same vibes, at a fraction of the cost. How much do we love the colour? It’s a fun twist to the classic deep army green or traditional black that we normally see in military jackets. This versatile jacket goes with everything in my wardrobe. It’s withstood the test of times, as it’s been sitting in my closer for over 8 years. I knew it would come back in style, which is why I never parted ways with it.
I can easily throw it over a dress, like this floral H&M one, pair it with my favourite boyfriend jeans and a tee for a more casual look, or combine it with combat boots and leather pants for a rocker chic look. Love that it can be dressed both up and down, easily allowing me to go from work to play. It’s the perfect winter coat that makes a statement, without being too in-your-face.
You don’t have to wear scratchy army uniforms or endure muddy exercises to get that military feel. In a variation of hunter greens, khaki, army greens and even rich teals, can leave you feeling inspired. Green is all around us in nature and an excellent colour to incorporate into your wardrobe. Try playing with textures and accessories, think double-breasted, large buttons, wool, elbow and shoulder patches and suede.
