Murad Environmental Shield Giveaway

Reverse Damage

Murad is one of those brands that’s been on my radar for a while, but yet I haven’t experimented with any of their products. When they contacted me to host a giveaway for my readers, along with test out a few of their skin care products, I was beyond excited. Just in time for summer, they’ve launched an Environmental Shield Start Kit that contains two of Murads best-sellers, along with a few other necessities to help protect your skin from every day environmental damage caused by the sun, smog, radiation and stress. By using these few simple products, you’ll be on your way to brighter, more radiant and glowing skin this season. Make sure to enter the giveaway at the end of this review.

Murad Essential-C Cleanser helps to remove impurities and potential irritants, while binding moisture to skin. It’s formulated with vitamins A, C and E to help neutralize free radicals and other aggressors, while phospholipids binds moisture back into the skin.

Murad Essential-C Cleanser has a gel-like consistency with tiny orange micro beads throughout that burst during use. You’ll have to use quite a bit of water if you want it to lather up and become foamy, which is what I look for in a cleanser. I think we can all agree, we don’t feel like its cleaning our face if we don’t see some foam? It does a wonderful job at removing all traces of makeup, dirt and oil, while keeping my skin comfortable. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed, smooth, and squeaky clean without feeling tight or dry. It’s extremely hydrating and seems to brighten my skin after a few short uses. It has the energizing scent of citrus that helps to awaken the sense in the morning.

Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum will help boost your skin’s natural defense against sun damage while encouraging repair of existing damage. It will help to improve natural radiance and clarity, while smoothing and restoring a youthful texture, tone and appearance to the skin.

Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum has an extremely lightweight, cooling, gel-like texture that provides intense moisture with a soft and silky finish. It really is quite soothing and refreshing on the skin. It’s comfortable to wear under a day cream, but also seems to work beautifully as a makeup base. It applies evenly and smoothly with only the smallest amount and absorbs into the skin within a few short seconds. It not only helps to blur out fine lines, but it seems to even out my skin texture, even before my foundation. My skin is left looking brighter and refreshed, while clearing up any dry patches I may have around my nose and chin. Its lightweight texture doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts, yet is hydrating enough to keep my skin plump and juicy.

Murad Essential C Day Moisture SPF 30 is a powerful antioxidant-rich sunscreen shields that helps to restore environmentally stressed skin, while blocking both UVA and UVB rays. This will help prevent sun and free radical damage, while improving skin’s barrier function to maintain optimal hydration.

Murad Essential C Day Moisture SPF 30 is both a moisturizer and sunblock in one, I love a double duty protect. It’s lightweight, creamy texture applies beautifully, but does take a few minutes to fully absorb into the skin. You will instantly see a white cast, from the sunblock, but it slowly disappears within a few short minutes. Just be sure to wait before applying your foundation, otherwise you may experience some pilling. It leaves skin feeling extremely hydrated without feeling greasy, sticky or oily. I love that it’s formulated with vitamin C to protect skin, while restoring and improving radiance, firmness and elasticity over time.

Last step, Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel will help to dramatically reverse environmental aging caused by sun, smog and stress. It actively smoothes and perfects skin to enhance luminosity, while reducing hyperpigmentation to help restore clarity.

Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel is a clay mask that’s applied to clean skin and left on for about 10 minutes. Since this is clay base, it was a little too drying for my skin type, and actually stripped away moisture, leaving my skin extremely parched. I think this would be an excellent alternative to abrasive exfoliators, such as glycolic peels, but with the same brightening benefits. It does leave skin feeling fresh and more luminous with a radiant glow, it’s just a little drying. If you’re looking for an instant boost in brightness, this would be an excellent mask to work into your weekly routine.
