There’s no denying that a new winter coat can help you embrace the cold. I picked up this soft pink coat while I was in Europe last month and have been patiently waiting for cooler weather so I could style it. I know a pink jacket may not exactly be everyone’s colour choice, but if you’re going to embark on a colour jacket this season, I highly suggest taking a closer look at this stunning colour. The pink coat has been found all over the runway for years, but this season, every designer seems to be including it in their collection. These, of course, come with hefty designer price tags, but thanks to brands like Zara (which is where this one is from), H&M, Club Monaco and Banana Republic, you too can rock this trend for less.
Although searching for that perfect pink can be a little intimidating and then trying to find something to wear it with can be overwhelming, if you find a pink that’s flattering with your complexion, it can pretty much go with everything in your wardrobe. Of course, neon pinks and fuchsia are more bold and daring, you can run the chance of looking like a real-like Barbie, and so I suggest looking for a paler, softer pink that will be easier to style. It can be played as a neutral, meaning it will go with pretty much anything.
When it comes to looking chic and pulled together, there’s nothing like a classic black or camel overcoat, but it’s also nice to rethink the idea that coats don’t always have to be a neutral. If you follow any street style blogger, you’ll see that not all coats have to be boring. Colourful hues will not only brighten up your complexion on dark, dreary dayx, if styled correctly, it can literary change the way you rethink an outfit. Don’t be scared to invest in a colour coat this season, it doesn’t have to be pink, but just have fun when shopping for outerwear this winter.
