Inspired by “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”, OPI brings to life Charles M. Schulz’s comic strip characters for Halloween with a new limited edition OPI Peanuts Halloween 2014 Collection. This 4 piece nail lacquer collection features shades of seasonal yellow, black crèmes and black-based glitter.
“‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” is a true classic, I remember watching it over and over again as a kid. I’m not going to lie, I kinda want to buy the DVD so I can watch it again this season. Who’s with me? This OPI Peanuts Halloween 2014 Collection celebrates the fun and youthful nature that is Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and, of course, Snoopy. These shades not only represent each character, but capture the true spirit of Halloween. You can apply the two crème polishes on their own, or layer the two glitter shades overtop, for a fun and unique finish.
Good Grief! is described as the sunny yellow of Charlie Brown’s favorite t-shirt. It’s the perfect yellow, if you ask me. It becomes true opaque in only 2 coats without looking too streaky.
To Be or Not To Beagle is described as Snoopy’s happy-dance of colours in a joyful glitter. This is my favourite out of the colours, not only because of all the glitter, but because of the name. You know my oldest dog is a beagle and if she was going to wear nail polish, this would totally be her shade. It has a rainbow of bold pieces of glitter done in black, pink, red, turquoise, light and dark blue, yellow and orange in a clear base.
Also in the collection is Where’s My Blanket??? is described as Linus awaits the Great Pumpkin in this orange and black glitter along with WHO ARE YOU CALLING BOSSY?!? that’s described as a stormy black is no match for Lucy’s raven hair.
OPI Peanuts Halloween 2014 Collection comes in a Little Peanut mini pack with all 4 shades, along with 10 nail decals. The stickers features popular Peanut phrases like “Good Grief!” and “Pow!” to sketches of Snoopy and the signature squiggle of Charlie Brown’s shirt. These playful stickers add an instant art detail to each nail. It retails for $17.50. Of course, you can also enjoy the regular size bottles that all feature the OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application for $11.50 each, at professional salons and spas across Canada.
