Floral Dress
When it’s blazing hot outside, like today, the last thing you want to be feeling is constrained by your clothes. Although off-the-shoulder tops and dresses have been around for years, think off-shoulder gowns of the late 1800’s to flower-power tunics of the 70’s, these feminine and flirty pieces have been making a huge comeback since last summer.
Every fashion blog, street-style influencer and celebrity has been rocking this classic piece for awhile. It’s been proven to be an extremely versatile wardrobe staple and will continue throughout the summer. Off the shoulder dresses are one of the hottest trends, and with good reason. It allows you to show-off a little shine without being too risqué. But how does one style an off-the-shoulder dress, that’s the question.
First, start with a good strapless bra. The problem with those invisible, silicon straps, is although they may provide a little more support for the girls, it’s still visible. Invest in a good strapless bra, try a nude or beige one, as it will go with everything in your closet.
When showing-off your collarbone, it’s all about balance. I’d stick with minimal accessories or nothing at all. If you do opt for a necklace, think thin, dainty ones. If you’re large chested, like myself, avoid adding a long necklace, as it tends to look a little awkward. Stick to a choker style or one that’s closer to your neck to help create balance.
