Anthropologie Blushed Buffalo Plaid Jacket
I know the colour scheme that comes to mind when you think buffalo plaid is black and red, but I’m shaking things up this season. As soon as I walked in the door of Anthropologie, I spotted this blushed pink and ivory buffalo plaid jacket and I knew it was coming home with me. It’s one of the few items I didn’t even look at the price. It was just that fabulous, I knew I had to have it. The open front layer features a classic pointed collar with a classic bold checker print, but it’s the pink and ivory that make it truly unique and special.
A buffalo plaid jacket is a staple in most Canadian wardrobes, thanks to its endless possibilities on how to style it. Although red, white and black are usually the standard colours, it’s nice to switch things up. Toss it over your favourite tee, mix and match it with other bold prints or pair it over a statement dress, either way, it’s sure to bring some visual interest to any look. I honestly think this Anthropologie pink and ivory jacket will be an essential piece in my closet for years to come. It’s the perfect piece to add to my ever-growing pink wardrobe and can be worn 365 days out of the year (depending on which pieces I pair with it).
There’s no limitation on how I can style this bomber. I can easily mix and match it with other statement patterns, like this polka dot skirt for a bold and daring look, or toss on my favourite white tee and jeans for a more weekend effect. I can also style it with a cool pair of faux-leather booties and simple black dress for evening or my fave kicks in the spring for a more laid-back and relaxed vibe. Possibilities are endless.
