Pretty in Pink
I have a secret to tell you, I’m addicted to pink. If you follow me on Instagram, this doesn’t come as a shock to you. Ever since I can remember, pink has been a part of my life. When I was little, everything was pink. My clothes, my bedroom, my school supplies and beyond. Although some people my think you can over do it with pink, however that’s not the case for me. Thank goodness for understanding husbands, because our wedding, home décor and the world we live in is all pink. I always say, surround yourself with people and things that make you happy.
Luckily for me, pink seams to be the colour of the season. I say embrace this beautiful shade and pick up a new clothing piece to incorporate into your spring wardrobe. I picked up this soft pink coat in Europe and its been in heavy rotation ever since. I know a pink jacket isn’t exactly everyone’s choice, but it sure does make a statement. Although you may think pink is a little intimidating or a little too girly, when paired with the correct pieces, it can act as a neutral. Look for a shade that’s flattering with your complexion or a shade that speaks to you and go from there. Neon pinks and fuchsia are of course bolder and brighter, whereas pastels and soft pinks are easier to style.
