Pink Coat
There’s no denying that winter is officially back. We sprung forward on the weekend here in Ontario, yet the weather is feeling more like December. To help me embrace the cold, I’m rocking this fab pink coat today. I know a hot pink jacket isn’t exactly everyone’s colour choice, but in the dead of winter, I like to have fun with colour. Pink has been found all over the runways this season and it’s going to transition beautifully into spring. Searching for that perfect pink coat can be a little intimidating as you need to find the perfect shade to match your skin tone. Trying to find something that’s flattering on your body type, along with the correct colour, can often be a little overwhelming. I suggest taking your time and not to settle on the first style you see.
Find a pink that flatters your complexion and unique body shape and you’ll be surprised at how many pieces in your wardrobe it goes with. Most of the time I play it as a neutral. It honestly goes with everything. Neon pink and fuchsias are bolder and harder to style, whereas a pale or blush pink will be more subtle and easier to work with. When it comes to looking chic and pulled together, there’s nothing like a classic black or white. Make the coat the statement, like I did in today’s look. Colourful hues will instantly brighten up your complexion on dark, dreary days. If styled correctly, it can literary change the way you rethink an outfit. Don’t be scared to invest in a coloured coat this season, it doesn’t have to be pink, but just have fun when shopping for outerwear this winter.
