Refreshed hair in between washes

As much as I love traveling, I hate packing and then unpacking. We just returned from a weeklong vacation in Punta Cana, and the thought of washing all clothes, has me wishing the airline would have lost our luggage. I know many people bring the bare minimum when traveling, as they don’t like to fuss with makeup and clothing while away, but I’m the total opposite. I love getting dressed up for breakfast and dinner, but leave lunch for a more casual setting. After hours of swimming in the pool and ocean, your hair can be left dull, flat and greasy and the last thing you want to do is wash your hair twice a day. This is where my love of dry shampoo comes into play. I’ve been testing out the new Cake Beauty Satin Sugar Rush Brush Dry Shampoo Powder for the past few weeks and was confident enough that it would be perfect for my travels.Cake Beauty Satin Sugar Rush Brush Dry Shampoo Powder review

Cake Beauty Satin Sugar Rush Brush Dry Shampoo Powder comes in a few different shades, even an extremely dark shade for us girls with black hair. I can’t tell you how many dry shampoos I’ve bought that claim to be for dark hair, only to have them leave a white film on my roots. Not only does this amazing powder soak up excess oil, it also helps to calm and condition the hair and scalp in between washes. My hair was left feeling refreshed and renewed, even after endless amounts of dips into the ocean and chlorine filled pools. It retails for $22 for 8g in shades light, dark and darkest.Cake Beauty Satin Sugar Rush Brush Dry Shampoo Powder review

How dark is the “darkest hues” version? I have dark brown hair, and I find that the one for “darker hues” is still a little light. This looks like a full on black from the picture which I don’t think would be a good match for me either.

It’s pretty darn black. I think it would work with brown hair tho, nothing worse than white flakes, I’d rather it be too dark than too light.
