If you hate the drying, heavy and flaky texture of a matte lipstick, but love its opaque coverage, richly pigmented and long lasting formula, you’ll love the new Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick. It’s a liquid lipstick that dries down to a fully flat, matte finish, yet doesn’t leave your lips feeling parched thanks to its avocado oil and vitamin E enriched ingredients. Its innovated formula not only helps to plump up the lips, without that annoying stinging sensation, it also helps to smooth and moisturize. It also contains hyaluronic filling spheres that helps to smooth out the look of fine lines while keeping the skin hydrated the entire day.
Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick comes in a sleek, yet unique triangular clear packaging so you’re able to see the colour selection within and also features an embossed labeling on the front with a chic gold lid. It comes with an easy to use doe-foot applicator that comfortably coats the entire lips in a swipe or two. It has a slightly thin, almost watery texture that glides onto the lips like a gloss, but sets and dries to an ultra-matte finish. Its full saturated, high-impact pigments provide a burst of intense, vivid matte colour to the lips that’s truly opaque and never flat or dull. As for the longevity, these wear beautifully for a solid 5+ hours before they start fading. As they do start to wear off, it fades evenly and seamlessly into the skin without looking patchy or flaky.
Too Faced Miso Pretty Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a soft ballet slipper pink. This light, almost peachy-baby pink is the lightest shade in the collection and is the perfect everyday shade. It sets and dries to a flat, matte finish.
Too Faced Child Star Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a true nude. This pale, mid-tone peachy, pink, beige matte is perfect for those looking for that Kylie Jenner nude, yet slightly lighter.
Too Faced Cool Girl Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a soft nude. This is a slightly darker version of Child Star and more muted. This pale taupe has a tint of rosy goodness with blue undertones with a fairly matte finish.
Too Faced Queen B Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a soft mauve. Another muted nude-y shade this time with a slight mauve hint to it, also with a matte finish.
Too Faced Sellout Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a soft pinky-brown. This muted brown has a slight pinky hue with a matte finish.
Too Faced Feelin’ Myself Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a soft peachy-pink. This intense, bold and bright, dusty coral has a completely matte finish and is perfect for summer.
Too Faced Mrs. Roper Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a bright tangerine. Even bolder and bright than Feelin’ Myself, this neon orange, almost mandarin matte will sure to be a showstopper that demands attention this season.
Too Faced 1998 Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a bright bubble-gum pink. Of course, this is my favourite out of the collection, bright, bold, cool blue undertones to make my smile seem brighter, what’s not to love?
Too Faced It’s Happening Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a bright magenta. Another blue undertone pink, yet this one is slightly deeper and more of a fuchsia pink with a matte finish.
Too Faced Bend and Snap! Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a deep raspberry. This dark, vampy, deep plummy berry matte will be the perfect shade heading into fall.
Too Faced Lady Balls Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a true red. Sadly to say, my lippie broke, so I won’t be able to show you the shade, although it looks like a lovely deep red from what I can tell?
Too Faced Drop Dead Red Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a deep mulberry. Another dark and vampy shade, this muted burgundy matte will be another hit come fall.
Too Faced Unicorn Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a bright orchid.
Too Faced Who’s Zoomin’ Who Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a deep sapphire. Another favourite of mine, cause this deep navy blue matte is totally unique and unlike anything I have in my collection.
Too Faced Naughty by Nature Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a deep chocolate. This dark brown is the only shade in the collection that’s not completely matte, I’d say more like a satin, which some people might prefer?
Too Faced On Point Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a deep Bordeaux.
Too Faced Evil Twin Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is a deep black cherry. This slightly blackened purple matte has cool undertones to still keep it light and airy for being such a dark shade.
Too Faced Marcia Marcia Marcia Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick is an exclusive shade that is a soft cotton candy pink with a matte finish.
The key to applying liquid lipstick is to apply one thin, even layer and hope you get the colour payoff you desire. I also usually look for a more mousse consistency, as it tends to apply better and with less product, but surprisingly I love the thinner consistency of the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks. I was easily able to apply a single swipe and get full, intense colour payoff that I love. This is return helps to never leave the product looking choppy, streaky or patchy, just a seamlessly, flawless finish in seconds. Unlike other liquid lipsticks that you have to work with and layer to see true opaque coverage, which can leave my lips looking flaky and begin to crack as soon as I start talking, this formula only requires a single coat. Another little inside tip when working with any liquid lipstick, make sure you exfoliate your lips before-hand. This will not only allow the product to glide on easier, but it will help the formula adhere to your lips better, without leaving a gross white rim around your lips.
Although the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks do adhere to your lips beautifully, without leaving them dry, shriveled or cracked and for the most part are pretty much transfer-proof, if you do plan on eating or drinking a lot throughout the day, expect a little wear. Another thing to keep in mind, although these aren’t as drying as other liquid lipsticks, you do have to keep in mind, it’s still a matte product. With any matte formula or long wearing product for that matter, you’re not going to get the moisturizing or hydrating benefits found in other lipsticks. I don’t find these to be that drying, however, you will feel them on your lips.
After wearing these Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks non-stop for the past few weeks, I can honestly say, if you’re looking for a richly pigmented, truly matte, totally kissable lip that stays put for hours, these are totally worth checking out. I love that not only do they offer a wide array of bold, bright, vampy and unexpected shades, they also offer a wide variety of neutrals. The line consists of both warm and cool tone nudes in both light and dark hues, a little something for everybody. It retails for $25 each and you can find them at Sephora.
Such a fun range of shades! Thanks so much for the amazing swatches :)
