The Peter Pilotto For Target Collection was launched today and I couldn’t have been more excited. I was up at 6:30, out the door by 7:30 and arrived at Target by 7:45. To my surprise there were already 5 people in line and then another 15 or so before the doors opened at 8. This was a huge increase from the 5 people that were at the Phillip Lim For Target launch in September; I think we have CityLine to thank for that? Was I blown away by the collection…. Not so much. When looking online, I thought I was going to love everything, but after trying on about 15 different pieces, I settled on 4. I didn’t think the quality was there, the prices were a little high for the cheap fabric they used and the fit wasn’t perfect (sizing was totally off). I did end up getting a dress, which is going to have to be taken in, 2 tops and a matching skirt for one of the tops. Although not as amazing as the Phillip Lim collection, I’m obsessed with the prints and can’t wait to wear them.
