Well this weather has been interesting. It feels more like spring, than fall. All this rain is starting to get to me, although its way better than snow. I just wish it didn’t come with constant migraines and headaches. Not only have I been swept away from all the wind, my feet have been constantly soaked from all the puddles. I woke up with the intentions of putting on a cute and stylish outfit, only to see it pouring outside, yet again. Enough is enough, it’s time to break out these fabulous Helly Hansen rainboots. I’m totally obsessed with these floral print wellies, but best of all, they keep me high n’ dry. Just because there’s a storm outside, doesn’t mean I can’t be street style ready. This raincoat is here to play, which keeping this outfit totally chic.
We all know the easiest way to rock double denim without looking like you got lost on your way to a cattle ranch, aka the Canadian tuxedo, but you can also mix your denim shirt with black skinny jeans for an even trendier look. The trick is the pair pieces in varying washes and lighter and darker hues to keep it hip and current. I tossed on this blue and white striped raincoat from Helly Hansen for a modern day version of a classic fisherman’s raincoat for an even more street-style look. It kept the wet, cold and windy weather out, yet it was comfortable and lightweight to wear the entire day. I love the somewhat glam and retro feel to it and all the detail that went into this waterproof, windproof and life-proof jacket.
I wanna know how you style your raincoats and rainboots or what you do to stay dry on an extremely wet and cold afternoon?
