Why do we always feel like our closets are full, yet we have nothing to wear. Better yet, how many times do you change your outfit 15 times, only to go with the first option? These are questions I ask myself daily. Sure, running a fashion blog puts a little more pressure on “what to wear”, but even before this blog, I still had nothing to wear. I think a few things come into play here, one, we often worry that our clothes are out of date, not on trend or fashionable at the moment and two, we worry about how many times we’ve already worn that piece of clothing or if someone saw us in it last week. We tend to reach for pieces that are simple, make us feel great and can be easily dressed up and down. Another huge factor we think we have nothing to wear is we have a mish-mash of clothing that doesn’t really work with our current wardrobe, items that don’t fit us correctly or pair well together. I find the easiest clothing item to style is a dress, it’s one piece and completely flawless. Add in a killer pair of shoes, maybe a jewelry piece or two, a handbag and you’re good to go.
