Milani’s affordable little sister company, Jordana, is releasing a ton of new products to their already popular lineup this year. Being released today, is the new Jordana Cosmetics 2015 Collection, with a ton of new products and new colour selections. A full coverage foundation for under $4, a matte lipstick that doesn’t dry your lips out and cream blushes that last are just a few of the must-have items from this collection.

Jordana Complete Cover 2-in-1 Concealer & Foundation is the ultimate multitasker as it not only evens out skin tone for a flawless look, but helps to conceal darkspots, imperfections like breakouts and dark circles. It provides a medium to full coverage with a long wearing, water resistant and oil-free formula. It comes in a squeeze tube which allows you to control how much product you want and need, no wasting. It has an extremely thick, almost whipped creamy texture that blends into the skin wonderfully. It builds up beautifully, both as a foundation and concealer and hides both blemishes, reduces redness and conceals dark circles.

Jordana Complete Cover 2-in-1 Concealer & Foundation comes in a pretty large colour selection for a drugstore product and for such an inexpensive foundation. I thought because it has such a thick texture, it was going to be a challenge to apply and blend out, but it was surprisingly pretty easy. It does take an extra minute or two to make sure it’s fully blended into the skin, but nothing a good brush can’t handle. It’s definitely a full coverage foundation. I really couldn’t believe how little of the product was actually needed to achieve such a flawless look. It really does hide any imperfections and creates a perfect canvas with a demi matte finish. Of course, you can control the coverage by applying a lighter layer and sheering it out. It doesn’t crease under my eyes, accentuate fine lines or enlarged pores, or settle into my wrinkles (yep, I’m starting to get them). I found it does take a little longer to fully set and dry, but applying a translucent powder or setting powder helps set it. I’ve been battling dry skin right now, and therefore, it does tend to cling to drier areas around my nose, but no more than other full coverage foundations. You may want to use a primer to prolong the wear time, as it did start to oxidize and breakdown on my cheeks after 5 or 6 hours. When used with a primer, I have no problem with it lasting the entire day and well into the evening.

We can now officially kiss dry matte lipsticks goodbye and say hello to a modern matte lipstick, with Jordana Modern Matte Lipstick. It has a unique blend of intense pigmented and special ingredients to provide all day comfort without that typical dry lip feel that feathers, bleeds or cracks. It comes in a standard plastic lipstick tube with a clear plastic lid so you’re able to see the colour selection within. The lipstick moves up and down freely and is totally retractable, so you don’t have to worry about damaging the lipstick when you put the lid back on. It’s soft, creamy, velvety and smooth and applies effortlessly straight from the tube. It’s highly pigmented in a single swipe with true opaque colour and a demi-matte finish. It’s extremely lightweight, yes, you can still feel them on the lips, but it isn’t going to dry them out like other matte lipsticks. It does have a somewhat playdough scent when first applied, but slowly disappears as the day goes on. It lasts a few hours before slowly starting to fade, but is buildable so you’re able to apply more after eating and drinking.

Jordana Modern Matte Lipsticks are perfect for those that suffer from extremely dry lips or in those cold winter months, when our lips aren’t looking their best. These incredible formulas are rich and creamy and comfortable to wear all day. The first time you use them, you might experience some pulling on the lips, that’s only because (from what I can tell) there’s some sort of film over top that goes away after a few swipes. Once it’s removed, these glide on like a dream without tugging. Although they may not be totally kiss proof, they stay on the lips for a solid 4 to 5 hours. Even when they start to fade, it leaves behind somewhat of a stain behind, for an added touch of colour that lasts. These are easily buildable, even when you’ve already applied the lipstick, you can touch-up during the day without it looking or feeling heavy or cakey. No need to remove and reapply, just touch-up and go. In love with the demi-matte finish, it’s never dry or dull looking, definitely has some depth to it. Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain is a retractable moisturizing lip balm infused with a lightweight stain for that perfect flush of colour. It has the hydrating formula like a lip balm, with the staying power of a stain. Its silky, smooth texture applies easily without tugging or pulling and provides a high glossy finish that does eventually dry down, but doesn’t look flat or matte. It’s intensely pigmented and shows true, opaque colour in a few swipes. It does have a very sweet candy, almost vanilla, scent that fades once applied.

Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain reminds me a lot of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, but for about a third of the price. They’re extremely moisturizing, more hydrating than the Just Bitten Stains, and are actually a lot more shiny and glossier. You can easily build these up to a full coverage, you’ll have to swipe it across the lips about 6 or 7 times, but it never feels thick or heavy. As it starts to fade, after about an hour or two, you’re left with a beautiful stain, that’s much like the original colour when first applied. Although the shine will slowly start to fade, the colour is left for the entire day, even after eating and drinking. It comes in 2 new shades (for a total of 10) and retails for $2.99.

Jordana Color Tint Blush Stick is a blendable creamy cheek colour that provides a natural, healthy glow. It comes in a convenient chubby, pocket size, twist up application for easy application without the use of a brush. It has a creamy texture with a sheer to medium colour payoff. It’s fairly pigmented and can easily be built up to more opaque coverage, depending on how intense you like your cheek colour. It blends in effortlessly with either the use of a brush or your fingers. It has a soft sheen with either a slight sparkle, shimmer or glitter, depending on the shade. It offers a dewy, natural finish that doesn’t look too oily, shiny or fake. It also doesn’t accentuate enlarged pores or settle into fine lines. It does start to fade after a few hours, like most cream blushes, but you can prolong the wear time by applying your favourite powder blush over top. This also intensifies your regular blush and really makes it pop on the cheeks. It has a rosy, floral scent that once applied to the cheeks slowly disappears. Jordana Easyliner For Eyes comes in a convenient and easy to use retractable, no sharpening required eyeliner. It has a silky, smooth, soft texture that glides across the lid without pulling or tugging on delicate eye area. It’s fairly pigmented and provides excellent colour coverage in a single swipe. Jordana Fabubrow Eyebrow Pencil is a creamy, fine point, long lasting pencil that helps to fill in, define and colour the brows. It’s actually pretty soft and creamy, not waxy or hard like other eyebrow pencils. Not one to fill in my brows with a pencil, these seem quite pigmented and fairly easy to use.
