At what age did I become old? The thought of going out tonight is killing me, even though I’m dressed, full face on and surprising don’t have a headache, the thought of leaving this house in less than an hour is almost too much to handle. I remember the “good old days” of partying every night and by every night… I mean at least 6 nights a week. I did this for close to 3 years straight, still managed to hold down a job, and then when I hit mid 20 I was still going out at least 2-3 times a night. Now that I’m in my 30’s, heading downtown to the bar, every 6 months, takes everything I got.
It starts with, “I have nothing to wear” ie nothing “slutty”. When did a skirt that doesn’t even cover your booty and a bra become a staple for the bar? I remember going in jeans and a cute shirt and thinking I was super sexy, now it seems less is more? Sure I have a wonderful time with my friends when I finally do manage to get to the club, this girl loves to dance, but even the thought of getting up tomorrow morning, hung-over, freaks the hell out of me. Also not a huge fan of having people getting sick on my and grabbing my bum every 20 minutes. So I ask myself again, at what age did I become old?

Great post! I had the exact same dilemma last night. In the end I was really happy with my conservative but cute onesie and flats (a sensible choice). Thanks for sharing, love your outfit, would take that over boobs and bums anytime :)
I totally relate to what you are saying! I feel like it takes soo much energy to get there, but as long as the music is good and I have room to dance I’m happy …haha :)
Me too, I dont go to “sit down” bars, only places that have a huge dance floor!
lol reading your post makes me realize I haven’t been out dancing in years. I am lucky if I get out for a dinner out or drinks with friends. But this girl loves to dance too!
But you are right! when I did go out to clubs regularly jeans and a cute top was definitely the go to, not bandage dresses that barely cover the butt… I guess I am old too, or just appreciate 90’s sense of fashion still ;)
