Can someone please explain to me why I decided to buy sneakers? It sounded good at the time, I thought these cute converse would be perfect for summer when I’m out walking about and don’t want to wear heels; boy was I wrong. I took them for a test drive while in Toronto over the weekend, I wasn’t even an hour into the day when I was started complaining on how much my feet hurt. The hubby was like “I’ve never heard you complain once about your heels and now when you’re wearing sneakers, in which most people find super comfy, you’re complaining? How does that work?” Anyways, all I can say was it was a very long, painful 10 hours in Toronto.
The hubby and I finally had a day off together, we both work a crazy 70+ hour work week, between my personal business, my charity, my part-time job (which is to get me out of the house) and my blog we don’t have a lot of time for each other. When we do finally have a day off, its usually spent running errands, grocery shopping or cleaning the house, fun, fun, fun! After shifting our schedules around a little, we finally had a Saturday off together and knew we wanted to head into Toronto. It’s not often we’re in Toronto without any plans, usually running to an event, a show, a concert or whatever so this time we just said we’d park and see where the day takes us.
Luckily for us there was a ton of entertainment going on; it’s Luminato in Toronto right now, so lots of interesting activities and concerts to attend. We did a little shopping at the Eaton Centre, a little more shopping on Queen Street and then headed over to see my girl Jessica from Beautezine at the Much Music Cover Girl Beauty Bar for a free makeup touch up and some goodies from Cover Girl. We then had a late lunch and drinks on the patio before heading over to the L’Oreal Professionals tent where I got my hair braided and also got to test out Mythic Moment Oil, which by the way if you haven’t tried it, you must…. It’s amazing! We got samples of Kielh’s new products as well as some goodies from Nivea. We finished the night off with a free concert from Billy Talent, although not my type of music it was a great show!
