June 16th, 2013- Mixing Prints

It seems when it comes to fashion these days, the central rule is that there are no rules. I remember the days when you would never wear red and pink together and now it’s a hot colour combo. I remember wearing pink and red in elementary school and people laughing at me, I had this bright pink heart shape sweater and I would pair it with my red cords and loved it; pretty sure I would still wear this look. We also now see plaids and polka-dots mixed together, florals and feathers worn at the same time and sequins and sneakers; anything goes and it’s just up to your imagination on how far you want to take it.

How do you mix and match your prints, do you stick with the same colour family to make it work, do you keep one print larger than the other, do you pair leopard with your print (as it goes with anything) or do you double up on the same print?
