For almost 80 years, Lancôme has taken its inspiration from women in order to create cosmetics that will make them more beautiful but most of all happier. “They are the ones that have made Lancôme, explains Françoise Lehmann, General Manager of Lancôme International. Since the creation of the Maison in 1935, Armand Petitjean, the brand’s founder, had understood that the only way to truly understand women and their desires was to listen to them. In order to go beyond all misconceptions as well as readymade recipes and really innovate. Our talent resides in preempting their wishes and making their beauty dreams come true. On March 8th, our aim is to pay tribute to them.”

I am not into all the cosmetics that women are sold to make themselves more beautiful, younger, less wrinkled, etc. etc.

But I do enjoy having my long-stemmed rose sitting on my bedside table. It is so easy to get all political about giving women roses, but sometimes we need to lighten up! I was given the rose and not expected to buy anything (it was outside at Dundas Square in Toronto.)
And it was a very good quality rose; good colour, very long stemmed, and it looks like it will last a week!

I totally agree, Lancome just wanted to celebrate women, no need to buy anything, just bring awarness that all women are amazing and we need to support and love each other more. It’s not often we get something for free anymore, and when its a pretty rose, its even better! I hope you enjoy your beautiful rose for the rest of the week and it brings a smile to your face each time you look at it!
