I don’t understand how this is still a controversial discussion, but love is love. I truly believe that if you’re getting love and affection from someone who truly values, respects and supports you, it doesn’t matter what gender they are. If you find someone who truly makes you happy, it shouldn’t matter their age, gender, religion or skin colour. Love isn’t necessarily between a man and a woman, but between two people who have a mutual respect and affection for one another.
As humans, we need that feeling of being loved. Not only can it bring positive energy, it helps us stay connected and grounded. Of course, the most important thing is to find someone who makes you happy. A person who can lift you up when you’re feeling down, the one who encourages you to be the best version of yourself you can possibly be, and the one that supports you no matter what.
A strong relationship is when both partners are equal. It doesn’t matter your gender, as long as you come together as a team. Communication will help your relationship thrive. Talk, but also listen. Remember disagreements will happen, so leave room to compromise. If your partner asks for space, learn to fly solo once in awhile. Make the mutual choice to maintain a positive attitude, no matter what. Honestly is key. Finding a partner you can fully trust and rely on, makes it easier for you to take risks and grow. Most importantly, “It doesn’t matter who you love, where you love, why you love, when you love or how you love, it only matters that you love!”
