Mary Kay at Play Just for Lips and Just for Eye

I just did a gift guide for under $20 yesterday, but I really should have included these little guys; they’d be perfect for stocking stuffers and are just too cute to pass up. I’m not going to lie, when I first saw them, I thought it was a pack of chewing gum, doesn’t it remind you of a pack of Stride? These Limited Edition Mary Kay at Play Just for Lips and Just for Eye trios come packaged in a sleek white plastic case, but don’t let them fool you, they’re very durable and secure. These are targeted towards teens and young adults, however, I think its perfect for all ages and retail for only $12 each.

Mary Kay at Play Just for Eyes Eyeshadow is a trio of shimmery eyeshadows that can be worn alone or mixed together to create a more dramatic, smokey eye. The kit includes a stunning teal shade that has almost a duo chrome finish to it, as it can look dark green or more blue depending on the way the light hits it. The middle colour is a beautiful yellow, shimmery gold and my favourite out of the three. The last colour is a deep blackened brown with gold running throughout it. These have intense colour payoff, blend beautifully together and last the entire day without creasing or smudging. All 3 colours work wonderfully together to create the perfect dramatic holiday look and can be used both as eyeshadows and eyeliners.

Mary Kay at Play Just for Lips Lip Gloss is a trio of super glossy lip shades that can be worn alone or mixed together to create some fun new colours. The kit includes a beautiful holiday red, a dark pink and a clear shimmer shade that’s perfect for applying over any other colour to give your lips a little extra holiday glam. These are very comfortable to wear, not too sticky and add a little moisture to my dry lips. I was really surprised by the colour payoff, both the red and pink are highly pigmented with just the right amount of shimmer to them. I get a few hours of wear time before the shades start to fade. I guess the only downside to this palette is there’s no place for a lip brush, so you’re forced to use your finger. I’m okay with this (I just make sure my fingers are clean before applying) and actually find it delivers more colour when applied with fingers compared to a brush.
