Floral Dress

Although everyone is getting super excited for fall, I’m just over here trying to hold onto summer. I honestly believe every girl needs a floral dress in her wardrobe, no matter the season, but nothing screams summer like fresh flowers. A simple floral dress is easy to style and can be mixed and matched with all your favourite textures, accessories and handbags. Done in either bold pops of bouquet colours, or soft watercolours, a floral dress is a must-have.

I scored this chic white floral dress at The Hudson’s Bay for half off and couldn’t be happier with it. Its light, airy and breezy fabric is perfect for hot summer days, but can easily be layered for brisk, cool evenings. The pops of bright pinks and greens keep it refreshing and interesting and allows me to pair different colours with it to achieve different looks. I can pair it with soft neutrals for a soft and romantic look or toss on black and leather for a more edgier and rock n’ roll vibe. I could also pair it with this season’s metallics for a trendier alternative or dress it down with white kicks and a denim jacket.
