For those that have been following my blog for some time now (and for those new followers) you may already know I run a charity in honor of my best friend, Kristen, who passed away from cancer in 2008 after a long 18 year battle at it. We now host events and donate 100% of the processed to families battle cancer in hopes to bring a little hope into their lives.
Ever since Kristen passed, it’s been my mission to help those fighting the battle in any way I can, not only through my charity but bring awareness to other charities that support the same great cause. I believe that everyone has been touched by this horrible disease and it’s our job to find a cure and support others, which is why I want to introduce FUCK CANCER INWYKIWYK™ to you.
FUCK CANCER INWYKIWYK™ is a new and innovative movement to unite the younger generation against a disease that has affected too many lives and on Friday, November 8th. 2013, at 135 Liberty Street in Toronto, The FUCK CANCER INWYKIWYK™ hosted its second event in TO in support research and surgical innovations for cancer treatment at UHN Toronto General and Western Hospital.
FUCK CANCER’s started in 2010 when Julie Greenbaum lost her mother to ovarian cancer after an extremely uncomfortable and invasive biopsy several weeks before she passed. When Julie’s mother, Jone was asked “How are you doing” she replied with anger “How am I doing?! This is a walk in the park for me… FUCK CANCER!” and so it began.
