Carrie Bradshaw

Feeling very Carrie Bradshaw in today’s outfit. I love how SJP can take a simple black J’adore Dior tee and make it glam. She pairs it with a fancy ball gown skirt in the SATC Movie 2 and its amazing. Carrie is all about over-the-top stiletto heels. She loves to clash her prints to the point it almost looks crazy. Ginormous flower brooches and large birds placed on her head. She also loves crazy and unique-shaped handbags. A girls dream. I know a lot of you may cringe at her style and that’s okay. I think a lot of looks are almost impossible to wear most of her looks in everyday life though. The fact is, she’s still a huge style inspiration. You can’t deny that you have looked at a few of her bizarre pieces and think…. I wish I could wear that. In every episode, I watch, I can’t help but think… I want that piece, and that piece and that piece, even today (and those shows’ episodes were shot in early 2000).

Whether it’s her feminine prints with edgy accessories, her causal daytime look that she still manages to look glamorous in (thanks to her statement heels and sexy flair), her basic tee paired with a bold midi skirt or even her rock n roll, quite edgy and risky nighttime look, we can all be inspired by her unique style. Today I took a statement tee and paired it with a massive purple skirt. I love the uniqueness and unexpected twist of this fun and very daytime appropriate look. It gives somewhat of a playful feel that’s very Carrie Bradshaw.
