As a beauty blogger, I get to test out a lot of hair care products, but since BC Hairtherapy specific formulas and ingredients are designed to care for the needs of all different hair types its perfect for those days when I want to wear my hair curly or straight. With 100% virgin quality hair, 100% elasticity and 100% healthy looking surface within days. Not only will your hair look more beautiful and healthier, it will feel more hydrated, conditioned and smoother.
No matter what your hair style, hair type or hair needs are, BC Hairtherapy has an exceptional hair care range of custom therapies for any hair. Moisture Kick is formulated with hyaluronic acid derivate that’s designed for normal to dry hair and features a shampoo, conditioner, hair treatment and beauty balm. Repair Rescue is formulated with high concentration of proteolipids that’s perfect for dry, damaged hair and features a shampoo, conditioner, spray conditioner, nourishing treatment and sealed ends spray. Color Freeze is formulated with reactive silane for colour-treated and bleached hair and features shampoo, conditioner, spray conditioner, treatment, gloss serum and thermo protect cream. Smooth Perfect is formulated amino smoother that’s perfect for those with unruly, coarse hair and features a shampoo, conditioner, smoothing cream and treatment. Volume Boost is a silicone-free formulation for those with super fine hair, like me, and features only a shampoo, probably because conditioners only weigh fine hair down. Finally Time Restore which is formulated with Q10 and nutrifiller, perfect for those with mature hair and features a shampoo, conditioner, rejuvenating spray and treatment.
If you’re anything like me, that’s a lot to take in. Maybe I have both dry and fine hair, which leaves me wondering which formula I should go for? Luckily, Schwarzkopf Professional has developed 5 high-performing “Hero” products and one in-salon procedure that are must-haves, depending on your hair type to get you started.
Schwarzkopf Professional BC Moisture Kick Beauty Balm is basically a BB cream for your hair. It’s formulated with hyaluronic acid derivate that helps provide intense rehydration and protect heat damage caused by your heating tools. It also helps restore hair back to its beautiful, healthy, shiny state. I’ve been using this daily by rubbing a small, dime size amount into the palms of my hands and then working it through damp hair, focusing on the ends. It’s to be left in, you then continue to style and dry as normal. If I see any fly-a-ways after styling, I add another small amount to my dry hair afterwards. Not only does it make my hair more manageable, with more bounce, it keeps it extra shiny throughout the day without feeling weighted down or greasy looking. It retails for $17.75 for 125ml.
Schwarzkopf Professional BC Moisture Kick Treatment goes hand in hand with the Beauty Balm. It preps the hair with a rinse-out formula that deeply hydrates, softens and moisturizes the hair starting at the cellular level. I’ve been using this twice a week, by applying this rich, super thick and super creamy formula to the ends of my towel-dried hair in the morning before shampooing. I work it through each strand before combing it out, I then leave it on for about 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. It washes clean away and hair is instantly smoother and healthier. It retails for $24.20 for 200ml.
Schwarzkopf Professional BC Repair Rescue Deep Nourishing Treatment contains the highest amount of concentration proteolipids, along with a powerful combination of a hydrolyzed keratin and a lipid component. This helps restore the protective layer of hair and starts to rebuild it from the inside out. I’ve been rotating between this and Moisture Kick Treatment about twice a week. It too has a rich, cream and super thick formula that’s applied to the ends of your towel-dried hair. I work it through each strand before combing it out, I then leave it on for about 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. It washes clean away and it helps to restore strength, elasticity while adding a ton of moisture. This can get a little heavy, which is why I’ve been switching between the two. This one adds a lot more hydration and I’ve noticed less split ends when using it. It retails for $24.20 for 200ml.
Schwarzkopf Professional BC Color Freeze Gloss Serum is the perfect serum for my colour treated hair. It helps protect my colour vibrancy in between colours and seals in shine, as if I just came from the salon. This crystal clear, lightweight serum is applied over damp or dry hair and left in. I use this daily by working a small amount into the palms of my hands, then smoothing over my dry hair. It’s replaced my argan oil, as it not only keeps away the frizzies and add shine, but it helps against split ends and protects against future breakage. A 2-in-1 product, if you ask me. It also is a lot cheaper than most argan oils, ringing in at only $17.75 for 100ml.
Last but not least, Schwarzkopf Professional BC Smooth Perfect Smoothing Cream, a highly efficient amino compound formulated to deeply nourish while managing coarse, thick and frizzy hair. I’ve tried this a few times, it just isn’t for me. My hair is too thin and it’s too rich and creamy, only making my hair look somewhat greasy by the end of the day. It can be applied daily to damp or dry hair, before blow-drying and styling. It’s left in to help fight against humidity and heat, which will be perfect for the hot, summer months in controlling frizz. It did an excellent job at smoothing out my hair and visibly making it a lot shiny and healthier looking, if my hair wasn’t so thin, this would have been perfect. This will be perfect for those with coarse hair, as it not only protects against heat damage, it nourishes the hair and adds moisture, it makes it easier to brush through and it tames frizz for up to 4 days. It retails for $17.75 for 125ml.
I’m dying to try the new Power Protector Spray that’s offered in salons only. It enables the protection of healthy hair quality for up to 10 washes after colouring, bleaching, straightening or perming. The electrostatic charge of the hair is reduced, therefore, the surface of the hair is more smooth with amazing shine that can last up to 6 weeks. Maybe we won’t need to use any products in our hair after this? Anyone tried it yet?
