Denim on Denim

Being Canadian, it’s only natural I love denim on denim. Remember when it was considered a fashion faux pas? Kinda goes hand in hand with pink and red together…which I absolutely love. There’s something incredibly chic about mixing two shades of the same denim together? This look is finally acceptable worldwide, but no one does it quiet like us Canadians. The Canadian tuxedo is constantly being revamped and everyone always seems to put their own spin on it… which I love. Instead of the classic oversize button-down denim shirt and mom/dad jeans, people are looking for a more fresh and new way to style this iconic look.

I’m not going to lie, with the 90’s trend going strong, I couldn’t wait to style more mom jeans with a statement tee and almost 80’s style denim jacket. I elevated the look and brought it into 2017 with metallic pumps and one of this year’s hottest Gucci purse. Sure, does it look like something I worn in the 90’s, yes… but do I still love it none the less… absolutely.
