The past few weeks have been incredibly hot, so humid that I haven’t even been able to wear my favourite white jeans. Usually when I know I’m going to be outside for long periods of time, I go for bare legs and opt for cute summer dresses or skirts. Since the sun wasn’t out today and it wasn’t overly hot, I was finally able to wear my white jeans. This was only my first trip to the farmer’s market, we’ve just been so busy, we haven’t had the chance this season. Now I know the farmers market isn’t a fashion show, but I tend to get dressed up, carry my cute market fresh tote, try to look the part and of course, snap photos for this fashion blog. I went for a causal, weekend vibe, almost nautical inspired look today that features crisp whites, navy and a pop of red. The beauty of this look is that it’s eternally classic. When sticking with neutral hues, you’re guaranteed a timeless look. When working with rich colour palettes, such as navy, white, red and tan, go for classic silhouettes, like a striped top and straight-leg jeans. Also try and keep your hair and makeup to a minimal, or when you’re too lazy to do your hair, a chic floppy hat. A simple, fresh, fuss-free makeup look is always in style and you can still get creative and make it your own by pairing a basic look with a statement red lip.
